Daysland is a beautiful small town with many enjoyable opportunities for family and friends. Quiet streets are lined with stately trees, and open space areas include a golf course, beautiful parks, and the scenic "Crocus Trail" walking path. Daysland is located in a productive agricultural area. Daysland has lots to offer for such a small Town. We are equipped with almost any kind of business you will need and if we do not have the service you need there are many other surrounding towns or major cities within driving distance. It is close to major centres including Camrose, Red Deer, and Edmonton.
The history of Daysland began when Edgerton Day, in 1904, purchased 12 townships (276,480 acres) of the "Kentucky Blue Grass Region of the West", from the CPR for $750,000. The land included the present day sites of Daysland, Strome, and Killam. Mr. Day was the first mayor of the Village of Daysland (1905) and the Town of Daysland (1907). Daysland’s major industry continues to be providing services to the progressive farmers of Flagstaff County.
